StudyinCanada Virtual Winter Fair Recap

We hosted the StudyinCanada Virtual Winter Fair on Wednesday, January 26th, 2024.

Focused on helping students answer their most pressing questions about studying in Canada, the event brought together 493 students from around the world. Our roster of 9 exhibitors discussed everything from general school exploration to helping students find ways to pay for their education, generating 657 leads in total.

Event Overview

1,190 total registrants

The registrant pool was quite diverse, with registrations from 116 countries overall; however, the most significant groups were those living in Nigeria and Canada. Here’s a further breakdown of the registrant demographic:

1. Nigeria – 14%
2. Canada – 11%
3. Ghana – 10%
4. Pakistan – 4%
5. Ethiopia – 4%


Most students are looking to start school in 2024

» 78% of registrants indicated an intended start date of 2024, followed by 14% in 2025

» Students had varying program interests — Business Administration, Accounting and Business/Management, and Computer Science topped the list of over 400 distinct programs

» 33% indicated an interest graduate studies, followed by 22% interested in undergraduate studies

» 40% identify as male, followed by 29% female

Event Engagement

473 total attendees

The StudyinCanada Virtual Winter Fair ran over a period of 5 hours, during which attendees were able to sit in on live presentations, visit exhibitor boots, and connect with recruiters. 

Overall, sessions were a big hit

Overall, sessions were well attended and saw strong engagement. There were 9 sessions which generated 578 total session attendees and an average of 64 views per session.

Sessions were 40 minutes long with a 5 minute buffer in between.

Exhibitor booths were also popular among students

Exhibitor booths were also a hit. Attendees visited the various exhibitor booths a total of 1,797 times. Booths saw an average of 199 attendees and generated 692 total requests for more information. Booths received an average of 76 requests.
